"We don't know where our first impressions come from or precisely what they mean, so we don't always appreciate their fragility." - Malcolm Gladwell

Selena Reder

Selena Reder's interest in the arts stems from her mother, sculptor Stephanie Cooper, and her grandfather, designer Richard A. Cooper. These two people have been her greatest inspiration in the field of visual arts.

At the School for Creative and Performing Arts she majored in art and creative writing for nine years. She went on to major in English at the University of Cincinnati, then changed over to Electronic Media to pursue her interests in documentary film and journalism.

Selena currently produces the 8am newscast for WCPO. When not at work, she escapes the stresses of 24 hour news by painting tiny portraits, and shopping for vintage cloths.
