(DAYTON, OHIO) – October 12, 2012 – The Dayton Art Institute’s new series of pop-culture inspired parties, the Prime Time Party Rental Series, will host a James Bond Martini Bash on Friday, October 26, 7 – 11 p.m.

The James Bond Martini Bash will deliver a stylish evening of great food, music, drinks (shaken, not stirred, of course) and fun. The final event of the 2012 Prime Time Party Rental Series celebrates the 50th anniversary of the James Bond film series (Dr. No premiered in the UK on October 5, 1962) and the upcoming release of the newest Bond film, Skyfall.

The ’60s cocktail-themed menu will feature delicacies such as canapés and stuffed mushrooms, and the cash bar will offer martini tastings and a variety of suave, sophisticated libations. Dress for the evening is casual, but guest are invited to don their chicest cocktail attire, break out their best “Bond Tux,” or dress as their favorite characters from the Bond films.

A DJ will spin all the great James Bond themes and other mysterious tunes of the era, and the galleries will be open for guests to tour the museum’s collection of postwar abstract and contemporary art. The evening also includes raffles and a few “top secret” surprises you won’t want to miss.
