Doug Birkenheuer: 25 Year Retrospective

Editor’s Note:  Doug Birkenheuer was beginning his photography career in the early 90’s in Cincinnati, after his graduation from Antonelli College, where he studied photography.  He has been in Chicago ever since, where he now teaches at the Art Institute of Chicago, and has had a flourishing career in both fine art and commercial art photography.  He is having a 25 year retrospective in Chicago this fall, so aeqai asked Birkenheuer to provide us with a sampling of the photographs in the show, which we are pleased to share with our readers.
