Denver, CO — March 20 through May 10, large-scale images from Elena Dorfman’s Empire Falling series are on view at Robischon Gallery. EMPIRE FALLING (Damiani, Italy) by Elena Dorfman, featuring an essay by noted art historian and writer, Kevin Moore documents Dorfman’s most recent photographic project focused on abandoned, working, and re-purposed rock quarries in the American Midwest. The book is the first in Damiani’s newly launched series Damiani | Crump, and features 22 full-sized images and numerous spreads of the details that make up each of these complex and intricate photographs. The exhibition reception is Thursday, March 20, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
