Three and Five Day Workshops Designed for Participants of All Levels and Abilities

(Oxford, OH) – Registration is once again underway for Miami University’s popular CraftSummer artist workshops. Held in the newly remodeled Art Center at Phillips Hall (420 S. Oak St. Oxford, OH 45056), CraftSummer is comprised of a series of hands-on craft and art related workshops taught by local, regional and nationally known artists. Participants can choose from a selection of twenty workshops being offered from June 7 – July 12, 2013, ranging from weeklong to weekend-only classes. Editor’s Note: A listing of workshops is included at the end of this release.

Open to the public and created for artists of all levels and abilities, artist-instructors will lead workshops focused in the disciplines of ceramics, silk screening, metal work, quilting, beading, digital photography, glass fusing, stone carving, and watercolors among others. With high-quality instructors and intimate workshop sizes ranging from 12-15 participants, CraftSummer workshops foster creativity and provide attendees with a real sense of community.

“Whether you are a novice making your first attempts into art or a working art professional, CraftSummer workshops are designed to welcome and engage a wide range of people,” says Ron Stevens, CraftSummer director. “We continue to offer these workshops to the community because of their high quality educational value that provides interaction, inspiration, and impact. More importantly CraftSummer Workshops have become a hallmark of artistic engagement for our community.”
