Educational Program Series for March

The DAAP Galleries is proud to introduce the Friends of DAAP Galleries March program schedule, inviting the community to participate in a range of experiences taking place within the Galleries in conjunction with current exhibitions. Imagine the Galleries as the family room of the University where guests, in addition to looking at regional and contemporary art, can extend their experience by watching a movie screening, reading and participating in a book discussion group, making art, and responding to exhibitions with ongoing interactive prompts and there is even a program for kids.

Sunday March 2, 2014: Make with Friends, Young Artists Workshop
Workshop ages 8 and up at the Reed Gallery (DAAP Complex), 1-3:00pm
Join us in the creation of a mural assembled using household refuge and recycled materials. In conjunction with Hollis Hammonds: Worthless Matter. Please RSVP to daapgalleries@uc.edu , space is limited, free and open to the public.

Friday March 7, 2014: WATCH with Friends, Film Series
Waste Land at the Reed Gallery (DAAP Complex), 12pm-2pm,
Join us for a film screening of the documentary, feel free to bring your own lunch. In conjunction with Hollis Hammonds: Worthless Matter exhibit. No RSVP required, free and open to the public.

Friday March 14, 2014: READ with Friends, Book Club
On Looking, by Alexandra Horowitz at the Myers Gallery (Steger Center), 12-2pm, Join us in a discussion of the book and exhibition, feel free to bring your own lunch. In conjunction with Hal Lasko: Pixel Painter exhibit. Please RSVP to daapgalleries@uc.edu , space is limited, free and open to the public.
