ECHO ART FAIR 2014 RETURNS TO CENTRAL LIBRARY IN BUFFALO, NY
Announces jury selection, and call for artists and galleries
The organizers of echo Art Fair are pleased to announce the 4th annual echo Art Fair, which will take place on September 6 and 7, 2014 at the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library’s Central Library (BECPL) in downtown Buffalo, NY.
echo Art Fair, a juried fine art exposition, continues its mission of providing a platform for independent artists and galleries to present their work to a jury of contemporary art experts, and to showcase and sell their work. Last year’s echo featured more than 110 artists and galleries from WNY, the United States, and Canada, and drew large crowds, resulting in the best year yet for art sales.
echo Art Fair proudly announces its jury lineup for 2014. Jurors participating in the selection process determining the artists and galleries presented at this year’s fair are: Cathleen Chaffee, Curator of Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo, NY; Colina Maxwell, Executive Director, Centre3, Hamilton, Ontario; Robert Scalise, Registrar & Collections Manager, UB Anderson Gallery, Buffalo, NY; Catherine Foley, Arts Patron; and Rosyln Goldman, Collector, Rochester, NY.
echo Art Fair connects experienced collectors and first-time buyers with established and emerging local, regional, and international artists in a centralized, creative environment, showcasing a broad array of fine art disciplines, including painting, photography, sculpture, prints, works on paper, video and mixed media.
As in previous years, there will be a site-specific component wherein artists of all media will be selected to create interactive, temporary displays that respond to and engage the plaza and other public areas surrounding the Library.
Artists and galleries are invited to submit their works for consideration starting Monday, March 3, 2014. Submission guidelines and additional details regarding the event, including sponsorship opportunities, are available at echoartfair.com.
